The ideal wheat sowing window in Punjab
For most of central and southern Punjab, the optimum sowing window is 1 November to 20 November. Fields in cooler northern Punjab can begin from late October. Every week of delay past the third week of November can reduce yield potential, because the crop flowers later and meets rising spring temperatures during grain formation.
Choosing the right variety
